Speculative
Futures

OVERVIEW

In February, at our final event for «Where to go», we presented the results of our project and invited exhibition visitors at the Berliner Ideenlabor to write their own stories: immerse yourselves in the «Moving Parts» scenario and describe your day in this world. What emotions arise? What do you observe? What feels different?

Welcome to the future!

Over the course of a year‑long speculative design journey into the field of «autonomous mobility», we explored the speculative design process within our «Laboratory for Innovation Culture». We use this space to engage with relevant trends and future concepts — our open playground for experimentation. From autonomous cities to biologically inspired mobility systems to entirely new senses of orientation: in co‑creation with users, we explored and shaped a variety of possible futures.

With «Moving Parts», we developed the first future artifact, followed by two additional artifacts, «Dictyo Home» and «Next Senses». Through these, we examined the topic of «autonomous mobility» beyond the usual status‑quo debates and opened it up for discussion.

You can find the project documentation — along with a description of how to apply this way of fishing for tomorrow’s needs within your own contexts — in our downloadable brochure.

Let's shape the future together!

Over the past twenty years, humanity has made more technological progress than in the previous five hundred. In the coming decades, we will experience more change than in the last twenty thousand years. New industries, products, and services are emerging — all of them built on the technologies and ideas we are shaping today. Every industry, product, and service of tomorrow will be grounded in what we co‑create now.

With projects like «Where to go», as well as through close collaboration in future foresight, design thinking, and innovation projects with our clients, we aim to shape the future together. We look forward to exchanging ideas, building new partnerships, and hearing your thoughts and questions about the future of the world we live in.
