To give you better orientation, the card set is divided into the five categories of the STEEP analysis, also known as an environmental scan.
Future trends:
The card deck

They help you and your team navigate scenario development — especially when long‑term vision is needed. Fifty key development trends, organized into the five STEEP categories, have been thoroughly tested in our Design Thinking workshops and Future Foresight projects and brought to life with crisp, engaging visuals.

Here is what you can expect:
A trend is a development we can already observe today and one that can be projected into the future. Trends point toward the direction our society is likely to take. They don’t aim for a single fixed outcome — instead, they open up spaces of possibility in which different futures can unfold. In this sense, they offer clues about which areas might be relevant for your project now or in the near future. They also encourage you to explore topics that may normally fall outside your field of view.
In short, the trend cards help you build an inspiring 360‑degree perspective and develop your future‑oriented project in a holistic way.
EXAMPLES
You can use our trend cards in a wide range of contexts — for fresh inspiration during creative ideation, as a spark for warm‑ups by drawing a random card, or as a starting point for deeper team discussions.

Design the future!
Here’s an idiomatic, UX‑friendly English version with a smooth, inspiring tone:The interplay between the categories helps you and your team keep a wide range of future scenarios in view and uncover blind spots. Depending on what your project needs, you can select from 10 trends per category or work with all 50 — you decide which direction your project should take. In our own work, the trend cards have already become indispensable, which is why we’re thrilled to finally share them with you. With that in mind: dare to look ahead.

You can find our trend card set in our shop. We’d love to hear how you use the cards and what your experience has been — your feedback means a lot to us.
