Overview

Become a profiler! Detect individual needs, motivations, and challenges — with just a few detailed personas, you gain powerful insights that help you respond effectively to the realities of your user group.

Why it's valuable

Findings from your research, distilled into fictional user profiles, help make your target group tangible. Personas do two things at once: they summarize and they dive into detail by reflecting very personal needs. Within a Design Thinking process, you develop your persona(s) during the Define phase. Creating one or several personas based on insights from your user research supports you in shifting perspective, building empathy, making your findings and user group concrete, and synthesizing interim results that you can test right away.

You can download our persona template — refined, adapted, and optimized over many years of workshop experience — for free on our Design Thinking platform www.design-thinkit.de. Print it out and fill it in, use it as a template for your own grid on a whiteboard or flipchart, or let it inspire you to create a completely customized version.
